Ħannieqa, the Maltese word for bracelet or necklace, is a series of thirteen 25-minute documentaries. They speak about old customs and traditions of Malta, and how they changed in today’s world. Presented using interviews with experts, reenactments, and footage of real events, the programmes give information while creating emotion and nostalgia. Below is a short reel combining some clips from the entire series, followed by the programme opening sequence, including animation and in-house musical composition.
